Heat recovery in the agricultural sector
Heat recovery
Discover the benefits of heat recovery in the agricultural sector with Kleventa. As a leading provider of technical solutions, we understand the needs of businesses in the livestock sector and offer advanced heat recovery systems that promote energy efficiency and environmental sustainability.
Our heat recovery technologies enable businesses in the livestock sector to reuse valuable residual heat that would otherwise be lost during various agricultural processes. Our advanced heat exchangers, heat pumps, and thermal storage systems can capture this residual heat and convert it into usable energy for other business purposes.
By implementing heat recovery, businesses in the livestock sector can not only reduce their energy consumption but also significantly lower their CO₂ emissions. This leads to long-term cost efficiency and a positive impact on the environment. In addition, our heat recovery systems offer precise temperature control, creating a comfortable and healthy climate for the animals.

Aerox heat exchanger
DThis heat exchanger is used to pre-condition incoming air. Changing animal welfare standards and the reduction of antibiotic use place high demands on the living environment of the animals. It is also in the interest of business performance to minimize risks such as drafts and heat stress.
The AeroX heats or cools the incoming air, thereby reducing the extremes of the outdoor climate. This results in an optimal barn climate.
The energy required for this water-to-air heat exchanger is generated by an external energy source (such as a groundwater well or surface water) or is recovered from the residual heat of outgoing barn air or a biogas installation..
AIR2-DS Heat Exchanger
Using a heat exchanger results in better growth, reduced medication use, lower mortality rates, and an improved working and living environment. Heat exchangers utilize the warmth of outgoing air to heat incoming air, without any air mixing. With the AIR2-DS heat exchanger, a thermal efficiency of up to 80% can be achieved. The extra-long fins in the heat exchanger make these efficiency levels possible. Energy consumption in the barn can thus be reduced by up to 60%. Thanks to the even distribution of air throughout the barn, with minimal drafts, the animals spread out more evenly across the space. This leads to greater calmness and less stress among the animals.
PolyCoil heat exchanger
The PolyCoil heat exchanger is a revolutionary plastic heat exchanger developed after years of research. PolyCoil heat exchangers provide high energy transfer combined with lightweight construction and flexible installation options. The fully polymer construction makes the heat exchangers resistant to dirt, impact-resistant, and completely corrosion-proof. Dirt hardly adheres to the system and can easily be removed with water.
The PolyCoil heat exchanger is made of special nylon tubes with thin walls, offering heat/cooling exchange comparable to that of a conventional aluminum system. However, unlike aluminum systems which lose more than 10% of their efficiency after just a few months due to corrosion and fouling; the PolyCoil maintains its efficiency for many years. Thanks to the anti-fouling and corrosion-resistant properties of the heat exchanger, this results in significant energy recovery and savings over time.
Stainless Steel Tube Heat Exchanger
To exchange heat between two water streams independently, plate or tube heat exchangers can be used. Although plate heat exchangers offer good efficiency, they are not resistant to harsh industrial conditions involving dirty water. For such applications, tube heat exchangers are the preferred solution.
Operation:
The stainless steel tube heat exchangers are constructed from numerous smaller stainless steel tubes assembled within a larger tube. The contaminated medium (such as wash water) flows through the inside of the smaller tubes, while clean water flows around the outside of these tubes. By connecting the streams in a counterflow arrangement, maximum efficiency can be achieved.
Cleaning:
For effective cleaning, the ends of the exchanger are equipped with removable covers. This allows easy access to clean the interior of the tubes..
