Cooling
Summers are becoming increasingly extreme, with significant spikes in temperature. This can cause heat stress in animals, leading to a drop in production. Kleventa offers solutions for all types of livestock to prevent this problem; from pigs and poultry to calves, goats, and cows. Our product range includes mist cooling systems and heat exchangers that can be used in combination with various cooling sources. Thanks to our own developed control system, you always have full control over the climate in your barn. Moreover, this system allows you to actively cool when there is plenty of sunlight and your solar panels are generating sufficient power.
HPT mist cooling
Prevent Heat Stress – On hot days, a temperature reduction of 4 to 5 °C through mist cooling can prevent major problems. If the humidity inside the barn is properly controlled, cooling through water misting is a relatively inexpensive solution.
What is mist cooling (adiabatic cooling)?
When water evaporates, it increases the humidity and extracts evaporation energy from the air, causing the temperature to drop. This process is called adiabatic cooling. When the humid, cooled air is introduced directly into the occupied space, it is referred to as direct adiabatic cooling. Since the humidity on hot days is usually low (around 50%), it is possible to add moisture to the incoming air or the space itself, resulting in a temperature reduction
The misting takes place under high pressure (70 bar), creating a fine mist that is easily absorbed by the surrounding air.

Heat Exchangers
Cooling with a heat exchanger is a more effective solution than using a mist cooling system. The reason for this is that mist cooling only works up to a certain point, whereas cooling with heat exchangers does not have this limitation.
How does cooling with heat exchangers work?
The incoming airflow is blown through the heat exchangers. These exchangers are actively cooled using a cooling source, causing the air to become saturated and start to condense. The condensate water is then drained away, preventing it from entering the barn. Depending on the application, we offer various types of heat exchangers, namely:
- AeroX kunststoffen heat exchangers
- Polycoil kunststoffen heat exchangers
- RVS/Koperen heat exchangers
