OPTIFLEX Air Inlet systems
Due to the specially shaped damper blade and the width-to-height ratio of the valve, we can precisely control the air direction and speed of the incoming air. This creates optimal mixing and draft-free distribution of the outside air. Thus, you are always assured of a sophisticated ventilation system.
The Optiflex wall valve is a customized system. The size of the barn, the occupation of the square meters and the type of animal are the data needed to calculate what size the air inlet should be.
AeroWing
The most important part of a healthy climate is proper air distribution. This is characterized by a calm and constant movement of air. The barn temperature remains constant and drafts are prevented. Sufficient air exchange is necessary to remove CO2, ammonia and dust to keep your animals healthy.
Stienen has developed the AeroWing to maximize air distribution in your poultry house under all conditions.
Due to the special design of the AeroWing, this inlet valve has the following unique advantages:
1. a constant and independent throw of the incoming air
2. minimal risk of freezing
Ventilation Curtain
Ventilation curtains have proven for many years to be a simple and effective solution for controlling air supply and exhaust in various stalty types.
We have the following systems in our range:
- double tube system
- roll-up system
- combi roll-up system
- harmonica system
Alum. damper register + external air grille
The air inlet opening is calculated based on the maximum ventilation rate. At lower ventilation levels, the air inlet opening is then basically too large. Also, the pressure difference between “outside” and “inside the house” is relatively small.
With the combination of too large an air inlet and a low ventilation level, the wind can cause irregular pressure changes in the barn. On the windward side, air is pushed into the barn, while on the leeward side, air is sucked out of the barn. The result is an irregular ventilation pattern which is very detrimental to the animals. Limiting wind influence is therefore necessary in all air intake systems.
Aluminum counter-rotating valves (ACRK) can be manufactured with or without a motor. As standard we take a 24V motor that has a 0-10V control. Variations on this are available upon request.
An ACRK can be equipped with an AVBR (aluminum fixed outdoor air grille) for weather protection. These inlet grilles provide rain impact-free ventilation openings.
Contra-rotating dampers and outdoor air diffusers can be supplied to order.
Winches/motors
When controlling intake valves, winches/motors are essential. We have selected some types for you.
Winch motor EGM
The winch motors EGM are specially designed for controlling air intake systems in intensive animal husbandry. The EGM is equipped with a robust brushless 24V motor with a pulling force of 100 or 250 kg
The built-in microprocessor monitors the pulling force, preventing damage due to overloading. Thereby, the EGM can be adjusted without tools and without opening. A long service life and water tightness are thus guaranteed. The EGM comes standard with a cable drum and is available with 0-10V control or potentiometer feedback.
In combination with the intelligent end station, the DMS-24-2CA or the DMS-24-AM, the EGM-CA can control the motor and report back its exact position by communication over one and the same cable. This reduces the required cabling to a minimum resulting in nice cost savings.
ELM electric winch
The electric winch type ELM is ideally suited for controlling air inlet valves. The electric winch is fully enclosed and can be mounted in different positions.
A built-in system of limit switches makes it possible to precisely set the minimum and maximum limits of angular rotation. Setting of the limit switches is done from the outside.
As standard, the ELM is equipped with a feedback potentiometer which can also be set from the outside.

STW Pulley
The STW Electric Winch is ideally suited for controlling curtain controls. The electro winch is fully enclosed and can be mounted in different positions.
A built-in system of limit switches makes it possible to precisely set the minimum and maximum limits of angular rotation.
As standard, the STW is equipped with a feedback potentiometer.

Belimo valve actuators are available with the actuations open/close, modulating and 3-point for supply voltages AC/DC 24 V and AC 110/230 V
